Becca Etheridge

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I hold a Masters degree in Counselor Education with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with a variety of clients, including children and adolescents, college-aged populations, and young adults. I have experience in career counseling and clinical counseling. I have provided clinical counseling services to individuals with differing diagnoses including but not limited to: ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment disorders, and behavioral issues. I have also helped individuals with general concerns to help improve stress management, anger management and time management skills. I utilize psychoeducation to help individuals develop an understanding of the experiences they go through and to help build positive coping skills. I believe that individuals can change their behaviors and habits if they recognize the thinking behind the choices they make and learn how to consciously make better choices. I take a person-centered approach to counseling and offer an empathetic understanding and safe space to every one of my clients. I utilize various Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques, Behavioral Techniques, and Play/Art Therapy Techniques with my clients. I also use techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. I tailor my approaches to the needs of each client to best help them improve and make a positive change.
